Tired of having your post history taking up your entire sidebar? With History Manager, your recent posts, recent comments, archives by month, and categories are displayed in one widget that allows visitors to unfold whatever they want to see and hide what they don’t care about. You can choose what gets shown and how many posts are shown for each type.
The plugin originally used jQuery’s Accordion extension, but in Version 3.0 I decided to throw that out and build my own accordion script, which is more customizable and works better for this plugin.
History Manager can be seen in action on the sidebar under “Post History”.

I was having some issues with WP 2.8.5, (the Admin dashboard wasn’t movable anymore). so I made a small fix at the end of the script:
—–
if (!is_admin()) {
add_action(‘wp_print_scripts’, ‘history_manager_includes’);
}
—–
This seems to do the trick very nicely!
Also, I’d like to be able to make it more customizable with css. Any updates planned yet?

I’ve also encountered that problem. But I’ll try your code!
I don’t think that Andrew have planned anything yet. The only solution is to learn a little bit about php.

Hi Andrew, This looks like a really good plugin. just works pretty much as I’d expect it to work .there are things I want to figure out but aren’t there always. Thanks
@GaMeR – Thanks for your admin area drag and drop fix too. Very helpful.

Hi- this is just the plugin I’m looking for – installed but is not working like the demo on this site.
If I click ‘Categories’ the browser goes back to the top of the page
If I click a sub category it doesn’t expand but does display the complete posts in that cat.
javascipt is On
Where do I start checking?

I have the feature to decide what is opened planned for the future, but it is not available right now.

Just tested the new version but – so sorry – the former version was much better. Just to give you an example:
Top category: America (north) + / – (fold / unfold)
Level-1-sub-category: – USA
lvl-2-sub-cat:: — Alabama
The former history manager unfolded by every click on a sub-cat, but now it closes every cat with the second click.
Any advices?

Do you mean that when you click on one category, you want the others to close? I can do that if you’d like.

That would be nice to have an option like that =).

My friend is using your plugin. I’m currently using a different plugin on my site but noticed a lot of inconsistencies. So this will work perfectly.
